What are the list of equipments you actually required for making a movie?

 Camera
The Camera is the vital part of the Film Production. The Type of camera that you need will decide on the type of the film that you want to shoot. If it is a feature film, you need high resolution HD cameras like Red Epic, ARRI, and Sony F5 and if it is a short Film, you can go with canon 5D, 7D or panasonic GH5, sony A7Sii, etc
  


Cards
Always try to get as many storage cards for your camera as possible, as it couldd save you a lot of time on set.

Lenses
If you are shooting with DSLR Camera, you may have primes lenses or zoom lenses ranging minimum from 18mm-85mm focal length. That will coverup most of your shots viz., wide angles and close-ups. Its always better to have a 50mm prime lense such as canon 50mm/f-1.8 that will help you in low light conditions.


 Tripod: Like Camera, this is essential filmmaking equipment. Shooting a film with a tripod mounted camera will give you zero-shake videos.

 Lighting
 Selection Of set Light is depended on the basis of your budget. The three point lighting kit (Available on Online stores) is affordable and good for movies producing with a limited budget. There are many option from Incadascent bulbs to LEDs, you can choose according to yourr budget.

Audio


1. Microphones: The use of microphone in ‘On-location’ helps you to avoid the studio recording expenses. Basically there are three kinds of Microphones
a). Shotgun microphones. b). Lapel Microphones.


2. Boom Pole: The Boom Pole sound recording is comparatively costlier, but professional. Typically by using the boom mike, you can produce great quality sounds than producing from any other equipment.


3. Audio Recorder: An on-location sound recorder is must for clean and audible audio as it is a vital part of any film. There are many versions of portable and big sound recorders available in market. But, for projects where the budget is limited and the crew is also small, portable recorders from Zoom and Tascam are recommended. check out different models depending upon your budget and requirement.


Storage

You need sufficient amount of storage space for your audio and video files. You must create two back-ups for your data to avoid loss due to corruption or malfunctioning of the storage device. Two hard drives are recommended each having 2 TB of storage space. You can definitely get a reasonable deal on internet.


A computer with Editing software

Once, you are done with shooting your film, its time to get into the editing part. A computer, probably with enough RAM and graphics capability(windows or Mac) is required to be installed with an editing software. If you are windows friendly then Adobe premier pro is the best option but if you have a mac then it already comes with Final cut pro with it. 




Before concluding, it is to be noted that its always a good idea that makes a good film. So, better spend a lot of time on script.
